Each student is required to review the presentations of each other member of his/her team. These reviews are to be reported through an online qualtrics survey. Points will be awarded based on the quality and completeness of the submitted reviews.
Students may present their final oral projects for peer review either in person or in electronic format, but the presentations should be identical to those submitted to the instructor. This means that if you present live oral projects for peer review, these are the presentations that should be recorded and uploaded for the instructor's grading purposes.
In case you do not have access to Qualtrics during the student presentations for student presentations, here are the items that will be covered in each review (all but the last questions are rephrased to 7-point Likert scale questions):
1. Was the overall presentation clear, well communicated, well organized, and free of jargon?
2. Was the purpose of the project clearly stated, and did the conclusion match the purpose of the project?
3. Was the data clearly and completely described?
4. Were the statistical methods clearly identified and their results clearly communicated?
5. How confident are you that, given the appropriate resources, you would be able to replicate the work described by the student, based on the student's descriptions?
6. How confident are you that the student used the appropriate statistical tool(s)?
7. How confident are you that the student used and interpreted the statistical tool(s) correctly?
8. Did the student provide adequate descriptive information, including relevant descriptive or inferential statistics?
9. Based on this presentation, would you be confident enough in the student's results and conclusions that you would be willing to act on the conclusions drawn by the student?
10. In your opinion, did this project answer an important and valuable question that could not have been answered without the use of statistics?
11. WITHOUT assistance from the student or others, please restate what the student found in his/her project:
12. Any additional comments?
