Welcome SPIN teachers,

What a crazy year this has been! Who could have imagined all the different ways you would have to change your teaching?  We are excited to meet with you all again, even if it is not in person.  We have put together this course as a way to help you prepare for our in-person meetings. The meeting schedule will be:

 Q&A on SRL-related topics for all content areas on Thursday August 13th 

• Motivation – 9am-9:50am
• Monitoring – 10am-10:50am
• Reflection – 11am-12pm

Content-related CT sessions on Monday,  August 17th 

(all are welcome to join other content areas)

• 9am - 12pm Biology
• 1pm -4pm Chemistry

Content-related CT sessions on Tuesday, August 18th

(all are welcome to join other content areas)

• 9am -12pm Earth Science
• 1pm -4pm Physics

SPIN Demonstration discussion for all content areas on Friday, August 21st

Content-related SRL sessions on Tuesday, August 25th:

• Biology – 9am-10:15am
• Earth Science – 10:30am-11:45am
• Chemistry – 12pm-1:15pm
• Physics – 1:30-2:45pm

Prior to our in-person meetings, we want to provide a refresher on the core ideas behind data practices, computational thinking, and self-regulated learning.  To prepare, please click on the "Modules" link on the left.  Then, proceed through each module sequentially.   Reading through this content prior to our in-person meeting will enable us to have a richer, more fruitful discussion. 

For our in-person meetings, we will use Zoom.  You can access the Zoom link by clicking on "Zoom" on the left-hand side and then choosing the appropriate scheduled Zoom meeting time.  

Finally, we will also have several asynchronous discussions.  Click on the "Discussions" link in the sidebar to access the discussion most appropriate to your needs.
