Response to Intervention is driven by student outcomes. Rather than helping students because they have disabilities, RTI puts the focus on supporting any student who struggles to learn concepts in their classes. Based on your understanding of the reading, what do you perceive are the advantages and disadvantages of an RTI model over a traditional special education model of providing support to students who are labeled as having a disability?
