BYU Canvas Info Center Overview

BYU offers two supported learning management systems (LMS’s):

LearningSuite is the default LMS for campus faculty. If you choose to use Canvas for your learning management system, you will need to establish a connection between the Canvas course and the course stored in AIM. By making this connection, your Canvas course will be populated with AIM's course enrollment list.
At the end of the semester, you can copy student grades to AIM so that they will appear on the students' transcripts. The connection between Canvas and AIM is not automatic; therefore, you will need to establish the connection manually.

Connecting Canvas to AIM:

  1. Order your Canvas course creation by selecting "Canvas" in AIM on the Instructor Schedule Links to an external site. page. 

  2. Log into BYU's version of Canvas (https://canvas.byu.edu Links to an external site.) and finish your course setup. 

  3. At the end of the semester, submit grades to AIM from Canvas using one of the following methods:
