6.D Personal Technology Project (PTP)

  • Due Jun 20, 2019 by 11:59pm
  • Points 40
  • Submitting a website url

For this project, you will have more freedom in choosing what technologies to learn about. So choose wisely!

Choose Wisely Meme

from quickmeme.com

Remember to choose technologies for your project based on these criteria:

  1. Pick technologies you don’t already know. This is your education, make the most of it! You will not always have the structure and support of a class to help you, so make the most of this opportunity!
  2. Pick technologies that you think will be helpful for your teaching.

Completing the Assignment

To complete this assignment, you need to earn 40 points by completing 1-3 badges listed on the table below. Some badges that require more time are worth 30 points to learn one technology. Other technologies are easier and are only worth 10 or 20 points. Below is a list of current available badges. However, if you know of a different technology you’d like to learn more about, just email me so we can work out an appropriate project scope.

Access & Submission Guidelines

  1. To access the badge options, visit the Badgeschool badge website Links to an external site. on badgr.io.
  2. Submit your project(s) by submitting the URL to your completed copy of the badge submission form here in Canvas, on this page.  If you have more than one URL to submit, submit additional ones using the comment feature in Canvas.
  3. If you are awarded the badge, you will be able to see it through your personal account on badgr.io Links to an external site..  If you haven't set this up yet, be sure to use the same email address that you use for Canvas, so that all your badges from the whole course will be permanently available to you.
