DRAFT TEAM CHECKPOINT: Introduction and Data description

This submission will be reviewed based on your current progress on your team google doc. Once your link is submitted, your work will be reviewed for specific target drafts, but you will not need to actively submit your work; I will be able to see and comment on your current draft directly in Google.

For this checkpoint, please begin your introduction and data description sections. Each is described below.

What motivates the study? This is your opening. Also provide an agenda here that identifies the key findings and any other sections you want to highlight (such as the recommendations section)

This section should clearly, professionally, and concisely describe the data that will be used for the project. THis includes:

The data source(s) for this analysis

Sampling and other data collection procedures

The unit of analysis for this data

Number of observations in the study

If a survey, provide response rate

Describe the contents of the dataset--what are the variables? Which are the dependent variables? Where did this information come from?
