ASSIGNMENT: Teaching Coding and CT

For this assignment, you will look through existing resources from the readings for this week that are meant to help you teach kids to code.  After perusing possible methods, curricula and resources, come to class ready to share your ideas about how to teach coding in the classroom.  Prepare a half-page reflection on which resources you would use in your classroom and why. Answer the following questions:

  • Identify which grade level(s) you would teach coding/CT to (1 point)
  • Identify what curricula you would use to teach coding (2 points)
  • Explain why you chose this curricula (2 points)
  • Provide an example of one way in which you would use what students learn in these lessons in an integrated lesson (i.e., mixed in with another subject). (3 points)
