Useful Links
Inasmuch as this course is based on using pre-existing resources, we will share these with each other as we find and know about them. There are several categories that are useful to know about. I have made it so that you can each edit these pages so that you can contribute known resources and improve our overall knowledge base.
- Books: printed texts. Many of these are available through the HBLL's online e-books.
- Forums: Places to go to find a community of coders and get answers to specific questions.
- FTP Clients: "File Transfer Protocol" applications that enable moving files from your development machine to your web server (and back).
- Text Editors & IDEs (integrated development environments): Tools with which to write code.
- ISPs (Hosting Services): The people who likely host your website (in case you don't want to use BYU's free services)
- Multimedia Resources: Places to get graphics, sounds, and other content for your project(s).
- Online Tutorials: Courses and curricula meant to guide you through the learning process.
- CSS: Resources for understanding and learning Cascading Style Sheets better.
