If the Secure Exam Proctor is not visible in your Navigation options in your Course settings, Proctorio may not be available in the sub-account where your course resides. If this is the case, please send a help request to BYU's Office of Information Technology at support.byu.edu Links to an external site..
Here are some things to keep in mind regarding the use of Proctorio at BYU at this time:
- Proctorio is provided at the request of faculty members who desired a remote proctoring solution. BYU is unable, at this time, to provide full support for Proctorio, aside from the installation of the Proctorio LTI in desired courses. Please refer to Proctorio's official documentation and support resources if you need guidance or assistance.
- According to BYU's current licensing agreement, there is no limit to the number of assessments you use with Proctorio. Therefore, we recommend you arrange a short practice quiz for your students so they can learn how to use the system before they take an actual assessment.
- Important: Exam settings must be finalized before assessments begin. Once a student has begun an assessment in Proctorio, that exam's settings cannot be modified.
